welcome to the Royal Durban Country Club

An oasis of calm amidst a bustling city, The Royal Durban Golf Club is conveniently located in the heart of Greyville, offering members an easy-to-reach destination from anywhere in Durban, making it the ideal place to play a few holes during lunchtimes or to meet with clients while playing a few rounds.

Ashleigh Simon visits Royal Durban

simonwwc8webOn Thursday 7 January, the club had a special visitor, South Africa's number one female golfer, Ashleigh Simon. Ashleigh turned professional in 2007 and became the youngest winner ever in the European LPGA tour, and is now also campaigning in the USA on the LPGA tour.

Ashleigh went off the men's tees and shot a 72.

A number of members took the safe route by not teaming up with their spouses or significant other.

The first idea was a more formal event with a fancy dinner. Once again we saw the power of our club members to drive an event of this nature. Morne Carter and Malcolm Hardwick joined forces with club manager, Pam Mayberry and put together a wonderful event that was supported by some 90 members, family and friends.
